A happy New Year from all of us in HeRoes Group


We had a good start planned and it is already happening. HeRoes expansion to Croatia is a fact. As of the end of January we will be active on the Croatian market. Mr Željko Šundov, an experienced HR professional will be managing the local organization. We wish him a great 2011 and lots of HeRoes / Lumina success stories.

Faith in the economy

Everybody's talking about crisis here and there. European countries like Ireland and Portugal seem to add some more turbulence to the mood. 


When will the crisis be over ......?  Well .... as I mentioned earlier:  "Crisis is just a state of mind!" 


I am happy to see that there are still companies expanding to new regions and opening up new offices. Although companies have been downsizing and / or closing we are happy to see that there are still recruitment organizations that believe in the improvement of the economy.


ConnectU with existing offices  in Montenegro and in the United Kingdom opens up their business in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana and will be operational per the 1st of December. 



We wish them well and hope their belief in the future growth of the economy marks a fresh way of thinking for businesses in 2011

Recruitment: The game has changed!

We are in the middle of writing a brand new development program around the topic of recruitment. The program is intended for two target groups: Jobseekers and Employers.

Since there are so many global changes impacting the recruitment process we feel there is a need to prepare people and organizations in a better way.


The basis for this program is personality profiling. The big change in the recruitment process is the shift from CV based recruitment to a personality based approach.

Why use personality profiling?

Many people ask me why they should profile people? They know them well, work them for many years and have developed relations with some and none with some others .....

Although we believe we know people what we see is "filtered" information. All of us have our own filters and miss out on some of the information which, at the time, our brain decides is "irrelevant". That filtering mechanism sometimes help us but can also hinder us.

Measuring is knowing ..... when we profile people using professional tools such as "Lumina Portrait" we can find out pretty soon what individuals are like. As a result we can start developing better relationships, empathize and start valuing diversity.

Personality profiling can be used for many purposes such as:

- Recruitment
- Team development
- Conflict resolution (and conflict avoidance)
- Competency based management

All together it can also help creating a better environment for both the employer and the employee allowing all the energy to be focused on achieving better mutual results.
